Frequently asked questions

Care & Fit

Can you help with ADHD?

Yes. We evaluate ADHD in adolescents and adults and provide treatment plans that may include behavioral strategies and, when appropriate, medication with close monitoring.

Do you see both children and adults?

Yes. We provide psychiatric care for adults and adolescents.

Do you only prescribe medication, or do you do therapy too?

Both. We offer medication management when it’s helpful, and supportive, skills-based counseling to strengthen day-to-day coping.

How Care Works

Are visits virtual?

Most appointments are conducted virtually through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform, so you can meet from the comfort of home or work. During your first session, a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation is completed to understand your symptoms, medical history, and treatment goals. Based on this conversation, a personalized care plan is developed that may include lifestyle strategies, therapy recommendations, and—when appropriate—medication. In some cases, occasional in-person visits may be required under New Jersey regulations, depending on the treatment plan.

Can I receive care completely online?

Many patients are able to receive care fully through telehealth. Your provider will review your needs during the initial evaluation and determine the best care plan.

What happens at the first visit?

Your first visit is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. We’ll review your concerns, history, current symptoms, and goals, then discuss a clear plan (which may include therapy strategies, lifestyle changes, and/or medication when appropriate).

How are treatment and medication decisions made?

Treatment plans are based on a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and tailored to each patient’s needs. When medication is appropriate, prescribing decisions follow established medical guidelines and applicable New Jersey regulations to ensure safe and responsible care.

Do you prescribe controlled substances (like stimulants for ADHD)?

When clinically appropriate and legally permitted, controlled medications may be prescribed with careful monitoring, verification of records, and regular follow-ups.

How do medication refills work?

Request refills through your pharmacy or patient message. We process refill requests during business hours and aim to complete them within 1–2 business days. Please schedule follow-ups as recommended to avoid gaps.

Can you provide school/work letters or documentation?

Yes—after an evaluation, we can provide appropriate school/work notes and documentation when clinically indicated.

Will you coordinate with my therapist or primary care provider?

Absolutely—with your written consent, we’ll coordinate care to keep everyone aligned on your treatment.

Safety & Privacy

Is my information private?

Yes. All appointments are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform, and your medical information is kept confidential in accordance with federal and state privacy laws.

What if I’m in crisis?

We’re not an emergency service. If you’re in immediate danger or experiencing a medical/psychiatric emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For 24/7 support in the U.S., call/text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).
