Get help for what you are feeling

If you are struggling with your mood, energy, sleep or focus, you are not alone. Many people reach out simply because something feels off, and that is a perfectly good place to start.

The conditions below are among the most common ones we treat, but every person’s experience is unique. You don’t need a diagnosis before your first visit. A psychiatric evaluation helps us understand your symptoms and create a plan that is right for you.

Which conditions do we treat?

Who do we care for?

We see children, teens and adults across New Jersey. Some people arrive with a diagnosis they have carried for years. Others are trying to understand a change in mood, focus or sleep for the first time, and are not sure what to call it yet.

Both are a good reason to book. ADHD evaluation and treatment is offered for adolescents and adults, and the other conditions below are treated across ages.

How does treatment work?

Treatment is personalized and often combines approaches. Depending on your needs, your plan may include supportive counseling, lifestyle strategies and, when appropriate, medication management with regular follow-ups.

Most visits happen through secure telehealth anywhere in New Jersey, and in-person visits are available at our Hackensack office when clinically appropriate. We care for adults as well as children and teens. To get started, book through Headway or call (201) 616-1371.

If you are in crisis

We are not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For 24/7 support in the U.S., call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).

Frequently asked questions

What if my symptoms don’t fit neatly into one condition?

That’s very common. Symptoms such as poor sleep, trouble focusing and irritability can belong to several conditions, and many people have more than one at the same time. Your evaluation looks at the whole picture, so you don’t need to sort out a label before reaching out.

Do I need a diagnosis before booking?

No. You can book a first visit based on what you’re experiencing. That appointment is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, where your provider reviews your concerns, history and goals and talks with you about what may be going on and what could help.

Can you treat more than one condition at a time?

Yes. Conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD and sleep problems often overlap. Your treatment plan can address several concerns together, and regular follow-ups help make sure the plan still fits as symptoms and circumstances change.

What if my concern isn’t listed here?

The conditions on this page are the ones we treat most often, but every person’s experience is different. If you’re unsure whether we’re the right fit, call (201) 616-1371 and we can talk through your concerns and what to expect.
